Chimney sweeping & cleaning
Firebox, flue and wood stove swept out properly, with the soot kept off your floor and out of the room.
The price you’re quoted is the price you pay. Dylan gets on the roof, tells you what he actually found, and gets on with the work.
Three things, and we’ll call you back.
Recent work
Photographed on the roof, on real jobs. Nothing on this page is a stock photo.
The part you’re paying for
Same chimney, same job. The top courses had gone soft enough to pull out by hand — so they came out, and went back in straight.

What we do
Firebox, flue and wood stove swept out properly, with the soot kept off your floor and out of the room.
Crumbling brick and failed mortar taken down and rebuilt from the crown back to sound masonry.
New crowns poured and caps or chase covers fitted, so rain stops running straight down the flue.
Flashing re-set and sealed where the chimney meets the roof, plus the brickwork around it.
How it goes
Send a photo of the chimney if you can. It saves a trip and gets you a straighter answer sooner.
Dylan looks at the brick, the crown and the flue, then tells you plainly what he found.
Swept, repaired or rebuilt at the price you were quoted, and the site left clean when we go.
About
Nelson Chimney Services is a family business. Dylan Nelson runs it and works on the jobs, which is why the person who quotes your chimney is usually the person standing on your roof a few days later.
The thing customers keep writing down is the same thing: you get told what the chimney needs, not what it could be talked into. No high-pressure sales, no number that grows between the estimate and the invoice, and the work site left tidy when the crew packs up.
In their words
“Dylan and his guys, Nelson Chimney Services, did a great job tearing down and rebuilding the chimney. I attached before and after pictures. They fought through some weather issues with all the rain we have been getting. Kept the work site neat. Kept in touch with me so I knew when to expect them. Very happy with their service. Thanks guys.”

“Nelson Chimney Service is exceptionally good. I called this morning to have my chimney and Buck stove cleaned and they came in the same day. The price quoted was what I paid. He is very knowledgeable in his field and explained things well. No high pressure sales. They just wanted me to be happy with what they did and I am absolutely pleased and happy.”

Questions
Both. Sweeping and cleaning is everyday work here — open fireplaces and wood stoves alike — and so is repair, from a cracked crown up to taking a chimney down and rebuilding it.
No. The number you are quoted is the number you pay. If something unexpected turns up behind the brick, you get told before any extra work happens, not after.
Sometimes, and it is always worth asking. Same-day cleanings do happen when the schedule allows. Call in the morning and you will get a straight answer about the day.
Usually not. Most of the time the failed section is the top few courses and the crown, so that comes off and is rebuilt on the sound masonry underneath. We tell you which one it is after we look.
As little as we can manage. The soot is kept contained at the firebox and taken away with us. Customers write about a neat work site more than about anything else, and that is deliberate.
